When you spend 30+ years of your life in service to others, even in retirement, you are acknowledged for your work. Congratulations to our very own Cathy Krieger, as she is receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from Bright Promises on Tuesday, October 25th.

For over 30 years, Cathy led our mission of serving Chicago’s most vulnerable children, helping thousands of kids and families create a more equitable community for them to thrive.

Cathy was instrumental in building the foundation of Children’s Place and in growing its services over the years. From supporting children and families dealing with the HIV/AIDS crisis in the 90s, opening an early learning center for kids facing medical challenges and poverty, spearheading the creation of Children’s Place International to support vulnerable children in developing countries, to bringing our newest program, Child Thrive, to fruition, Cathy kept listening to the community’s evolving needs and sought ways to meet them.

We are so proud of what she accomplished in her dedication to our children and families, and we will continue to build upon the foundation she created.

Thank you, Bright Promises, for honoring Cathy’s lifetime work supporting Chicago’s most vulnerable kids. Tickets are available to see Cathy receive her lifetime achievement award.
