Thank you to all our Child Champions who joined us for a magical evening of food, of inspiring conversations, entertainment, and dancing at the Champions Gala held on May 10th at the Fairlie. With 161 champions in attendance, we successfully raised over $100,000 to support our mission. This event was a perfect moment to pause, reflect, celebrate, and then continue our mission with renewed vigor.

Our COO, Maurice Fears, Sr., and our dedicated Child Champion, Robin Robinson, emceed the evening with grace and excellence. We are grateful to Robin for her long-standing advocacy since the inception of CPA.

Gala

Cinaiya Stubbs, Our President & CEO, delivered an inspiring speech on opportunity, access, and equity, underscoring the importance of our ongoing work.

The evening was enriched by Vai Shakoor’s powerful spoken word poetry about mothers and Levar Kellogg’s soulful saxophone melodies. The Favored Friday ABC Choir energized the room with their performances of “Happy,” “Survivor,” and “We are the Champions.” D.J. L O Kari closed down the house with an energetic dance session.

A special thanks to CMB Catering and Chef Mychael Bonner for providing the delicious food that delighted all our guests.
