Children’s Place International’s partner in Haiti, Zanmi Lasante, has had over 500 babies successfully graduate from the Journey-to-9 (J9) program this year!
J9 is a maternal & child health program that accompanies new and low-income mothers on their nine-month pregnancy journey to ensure that they and their infants are safe and healthy.
The program includes group prenatal care visits, education for the families, and 9 months of postnatal visits following delivery. CPI has helped fund the program and has also honored its leaders at past Place the Hope celebrations.
The program has greatly reduced maternal mortality and improved neonatal health in Haiti.
