On June 4th, we will gather at the Chicago Cultural Center to celebrate what has been accomplished and share what’s ahead. We will enjoy great food, pleasant conversation, cocktails, dancing, and honoring a Lifetime Champion for Children, our very own, Cathy Krieger.

For over 30 years, until her recent retirement, Cathy steered Children’s Place Association, helping thousands of children and families create a secure and hopeful today, so children facing health issues and poverty can thrive.

Cathy has been instrumental in building the foundation of Children’s Place and in growing its services throughout her tenure. From originally supporting children and families dealing with the HIV/AIDS crisis in the 90s, to opening an early learning center for kids facing medical challenges and poverty, Cathy kept meeting the needs of what the community needed. In 2007, she spearheaded the creation of Children’s Place International to bring needed help to vulnerable children in developing countries. And just last year, Cathy helped bring our newest program to fruition – Child Thrive.

Children’s Place Association would not be where it is today without her leadership, guidance, and compassion, and we look forward to honoring her this Saturday at our Once Upon a Time – Speakeasy Soiree.

Tickets are still available, and we would love to see you there.
