Lori Chen,
ELC, Residential Center, International & Special Event Volunteer
A master’s student at Erikson Institute, Lori Chen has been volunteering with The Children's Place Association since 2008.
As an active volunteer with the 3 to 5 year olds at the Early Learning Center, Lori had the opportunity to see just how resilient and bright the children are – watching them learn, play and be a part of their world for a few hours a week.
Lori is also a dedicated special events volunteer. Helping out whenever the call is made – from the Once Upon A Time Gala to AIDS Run/ Walk you can count on seeing Lori helping out.

The Children's Place Association is always looking for volunteers to bring their interests, skills and passions to help children affected by HIV/AIDS in Chicago. We work with you to find the best fit based on your talents and our current volunteer needs including childcare, administrative support and special events.

Due to the special needs of the children we serve, The Children’s Place Association carefully screens and places volunteers into appropriate assignments. Please complete our volunteer application to begin the process.
