Foster Care and Adoption

“My son and I adopted each other in January 2007 and The Children's Place Association has been with us through the entire journey. He will always remember the safety and security he found at The Children's Place Association.”
- Adoptive Parent
The Children’s Place Association believes strongly in keeping families together as much as possible and every effort is made to support the parent/child relationship. In many instances this reunion is not immediate and we are committed to providing a loving short-term foster home for these children.
Our Foster Care Program recruits, trains, licenses and supervises individuals and couples to become foster parents. By operating our own Foster Care Program, we are able to match children with special needs to foster parents capable of caring for them. Our program recruits parents who can accommodate sibling groups and support visits by biological parents and extended family.
If a child is unable to return home to their birth parents a loving permanent home is found with adoptive parents. The Children's Place Association facilitates adoptions for these children.
