Simone Wheeler – Director of Development

Simone Wheeler joined The Children's Place Association in 2007 as the director of development. She brings more than 10 years of experience to the position, having held multiple sales and fundraising positions with international companies.

Before joining The Children's Place Association, Simone worked as the director of development for Wellness Place, a community based cancer resource center serving those diagnosed with cancer, and their family, friends and caregivers. Prior to that, she was based in Switzerland where she worked in human resources for Zurich Financial Services. She brings a wealth of international experience having held positions in London, Singapore and Saitiama, Japan.

Simone is an active member of the Association of Fundraising professionals and is currently pursuing Certified Fund Raising Executive qualification.

When she is not raising money, Simone enjoys adventure travel and athletics. She has qualified for the Boston Marathon and enjoys partaking in boxing and mixed martial arts.

She holds a bachelor's degree in modern languages (German and Russian) from Leeds University in England.
