HOST THIRD ANNUAL ART SALE TO BENEFIT
THE CHILDREN'S PLACE ASSOCIATION!

The Professional Partners of The Children’s Place Association will host their third annual
“4 the Love of Art” fundraiser on June 19 from 6-9PM at the Knoll showroom in the Merchandise Mart.
The event benefits The Children’s Place Association, a non-profit organization that provides
life-enhancing services to children and families affected by HIV and AIDS.

The art sale brings together works from local and national artists, with all pieces reasonably
priced from $25 to $1,000 and appealing to a wide range of artistic tastes. Guests also will be
treated to cocktails, appetizers and desserts.

“The 4 the Love of Art event not only helps people decorate their walls, it builds a greater
awareness for The Children’s Place Association and the efforts it makes on behalf of
HIV/AIDS-affected children,” said co-chair Carrie Dietiker. Dietiker shares event co-chair
duties with Professional Partner Lindsay Nero.

The Professional Partners are a volunteer extension of The Children’s Place Association.
The group of approximately twenty professionals from a variety of Chicago-based companies
donate time and resources as well as organize annual events, including the “4 the Love of Art”
event and a Valentine’s Day party for Children’s Place clients.

The Children’s Place Association is the only facility in the Midwest, and one of a handful in the nation,
that provides a full constellation of services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS: 24-hour
nursing care for seriously ill children, early learning for infants and toddlers, foster/adoptive care when parents are unable to care for their children, and counseling and other supportive services to help
families deal with the many emotional and social issues surrounding HIV/AIDS.

The Children’s Place Association receives support from individuals, foundations and corporations,
including Mesirow Financial Advanced Strategies, a Chicago-based leader in fund of hedge funds management. Since 2006, the “4 the Love of Art” event has raised more than $30,000 to help the Children’s Place’s vital programs continue.

Tickets for the event are $45 in advance (or $40 each if three or more tickets purchased)
or $50at the door.
